Safeguarding Essentials for Tutors

Are you a tutor committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of your students? Join us for our comprehensive Safeguarding Essentials for Tutors course, designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to create a safe learning environment for all.

‘Safeguarding Essentials for Tutors’ will cover recent legislation including updates to ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ and ‘After School Clubs, Community Activities and Tuition: Safeguarding Guidance for Providers’, alongside a refresher on ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’. We will discuss some case studies and go through a reminder of how to make a referral to the local authority. We will also cover DBS checks and briefly touch on safer recruitment and how to deal with allegations made against a member of staff. This is a short course to raise awareness and signpost tutors to further training if needed.

Attendees will receive a certificate upon completion of the session, demonstrating their commitment to staying safe and up-to-date with essential safeguarding practices.

This course is free for all members of TTA, however spaces are limited each month so please ensure you register as soon as possible and please do let us know if you can no longer make it!
